THE HISTORY

In 1890, Bernardo Tirelli founded the pharmaceutical laboratory, “Preparati Farmaceutici Chiassesi”, in Ponte Chiasso. His passion for, and knowledge of, herbs and roots, were handed down from father to son and would allow the laboratory to grow – a few years later – into an industrial business specializing in the production of extracts and essences for spirits, bitters, syrups and soft drinks.

THE COMPANY

Flavours play an important role in everyday life. Your customers know it. And so do we.

We at L’Italiana Aromi rely on efficient, computerized operational, administrative and logistic offices, located just a few kilometres from Milan. We are based in Carate Brianza, in the heart of one of Europe’s most industrious areas. From there we satisfy the requirements of both national and international customers – small, medium and large size businesses which can count on our Company as a reliable, high-quality partner.

Our history is based on both tradition and know-how as handed down from father to son for over 130 years. However, expertise alone is not enough: we have chosen to constantly invest in technology, laboratories and production, in order to answer the requirements of the international modern food industry. In addition, we have also chosen to be environmentally sustainable, with a view to playing a part in giving the future a cleaner environment.

Chemical know-how, research, knowledge of raw materials and our flavourists’ skills: providing authentic flavours for the products of the food industry is our main peculiarity. From sampling at the research stage to the production of considerable amounts of products: we support our customers during all their creative phases.

Sales and technical assistance

We at L’Italiana Aromi support our customers throughout the process, from the creation of the flavourings to the production of the finished products. Our products are directly tested for their applications, following the required steps, in accordance with industrial production parameters. Our customers are invited to tasting sessions in our laboratories.

Our sales team combines the company know-how with expertise in the field. Listening to our customers’ production problems and being aware of the manufacturing systems for the finished products allows us to develop suitable solutions, on the basis of ongoing, cooperative exchanges.

We can quickly provide samples for the coded items and, for major projects, we can consider creating customized recipes.

THE HISTORY

In 1890, Bernardo Tirelli founded the pharmaceutical laboratory, “Preparati Farmaceutici Chiassesi”, in Ponte Chiasso.

Since 1890, a number of significant steps, one following the other, have resulted in ongoing, important changes testifying to the Company’s ability to move with the times. With a history spanning over a century, L’Italiana Aromi went through two world wars and was part of the economic boom that would inspire a real food revolution.

It was then that the established Company chose to combine expertise and tradition with technological development, in order to be able to supply the growing food industry with top-quality flavourings.

Over the years, the Tirelli family’s insight and competence have gained them a significant role in the food flavouring industry. The new generations have chosen to rely on the same old values to produce food flavourings that respect taste, consumers and the environment.
