The growing production capacity and flexibility is the result of large areas and numerous traditional yet state-of-the-art plants being available.
The Company currently relies on two production sites, which are capable of being enlarged.
They accommodate the following: distillers, extractors, deterpenators and classic extraction concentrators; spray dryers of considerable size, for the production of large quantities of powder flavourings; a modern, fully automated blending plant, which allows a daily production of tons of fruit-based flavoured mixes and compounds.

Large areas are devoted to the storage of raw materials and finished products at controlled temperatures. In addition, the freezer at -18 °C, fully robotised and software-controlled, is directly connected to the +4 °C cold rooms.


The extraction tradition, which has been handed down from father to son for generations, is a key component of L’Italiana Aromi’s genetic code.
Extraction, distillation and infusion are traditional processes which are asked to be replicated on a large scale in the wholesale food industry.
Since 1890 – initially as a pharmaceutical laboratory –, we have been selecting herbs, roots, barks, flowers and fruit of prime quality and with unparalleled organoleptic characteristics. Our careful selection of raw materials, know-how and extraction expertise are combined with the knowledge of our expert flavourists.
Legacy and tradition have been transformed into invaluable assets by time and passion.

Based on sophisticated technology – sometimes developed ad hoc –, as the fruit of expertise, ongoing research and investments, L’Italiana Aromi can produce flavourings with standardised qualitative and organoleptic characteristics, while maintaining freshness and high production rates, including for considerable amounts.

A robotised plant, integrated into the Company’s IT system, runs 24 hours a day, for the automated, continuous production of concentrated bases and flavourings. This allows us to provide fresh products, flavourings synonymous with unique quality and absolutely confidential recipes.
In order to minimise production downtime due to quality control on semi-finished products before using them in formulations, the production department can now rely on a laboratory equipped with automated, integrated instrumentation for testing essential physicochemical parameters.
